Mainstreaming Life Cycle Management for sustainable value creation
LCM 2015, the 7th International Conference on Life Cycle Management, in Bordeaux 2015, August 30 ? September 02.
LCM 2015 is organized jointly by ISM-CyVi, CIRAIG and [avniR].
Those three organizations have joined forces to provide a Life Cycle Management platform where industry, institutes, academy and government join forces in the ambition to reduce the environmental impact of current and future production and consumption systems.
We have clustered the sessions into four themes:
· Policy, regional and data needs for life cycle management (Policy and regions)
· Life cycle management in business practice (LCM in practice)
· Life cycle management in different sectors (LCM by sector)
· Methods for life cycle sustainability assessment and management (Methods for sustainability)
A special session will be dedicated to LCM for textiles and leather products :
The traditional textile and leather industry, with its numerous processes, including water, energy and chemical consumption, was among the sectors integrating and improving LCA approaches. In order to move to a new area in the textile and leather industry, LCM seems to be one of the essential facilitators. The aim of this session is to bring forward those on going LCA initiatives in textile industry.
This session would be an opportunity for companies of various sectors involved in the textile sector to present their actual approach regarding LCM and the design for recycling.
